Just two hours away from Metro Manila, Villa Socorro Farm is a Farm Tourism destination, dedicated to integrate sustainable farming practices. Its 11-hectare land is nestled at the foot of Sierra Madre Mountain Range and bounded by the Balanac River. Its forest is full of Mahogany, Coconut and Banana trees, intercropped with native fruit-bearing trees like Rambutan, Lanzones, Avocado and Guyabano, as well as garden patches designated for fruits and vegetables in season.
At the heart of the lush vegetation are ranch-style airconditioned cottages, a pavilion, a conference room, and a recreation hall amongst other structures. About 90% of the wood materials that were used to build these structures came from the trees which were planted 20 years ago. Of the 8,000 trees planted, about 500 were felled by catastrophic typhoon “Milenyo” in October 2006.
Surrounding the cottages, you’d find a lovely vegetable garden and a fruit orchard. For Plantitas, pick your favorite vegetables at sunrise and we can prepare “ginataang pinakbet” for your lunch. For Foodies, you can opt for a Boodle Fight with “Inasal ni ‘Tay Manuel” and “Inihaw na Liempo ni Yaya Evelyn.” Both specialties were featured in the Farm to Table TV show of GMA Network.
Indeed, nature is nurtured naturally at Villa Socorro Farm. Carabaos still plough the field. Grass grows, butterflies flutter, frogs leap, trees tower the sky, and birds sing in their natural habitat, naturally. Go ahead, book one of our cozy ranch-style airconditioned cottages or pitch a tent and camp out! Enjoy nature at its best.
